Introduction

eBay Integration (“the App”) is provided by InfoShore Apps (“InfoShore”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

The App helps merchants connect their Shopify stores with eBay to synchronize products, inventory, pricing, and orders, and to import or export product listings between Shopify and eBay.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

To provide the functionality of the App, we may access and process certain information from your Shopify store and connected eBay account. The App only accesses information necessary to provide the features and services it offers.

Information from Shopify

Depending on the permissions granted, the App may access store information, product data, product variants, inventory quantities, pricing information, orders, fulfillment information, locations, shipping information, and customer information associated with orders.

Information from eBay

When you connect an eBay account, the App may access eBay account information, product listings, inventory information, pricing information, orders, fulfillment details, listing metadata, and category and attribute information. This information is accessed through authorized eBay APIs and is used solely to provide synchronization and integration functionality.

Information collected automatically

We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser information, device information, application logs, error reports, and usage analytics. This information helps us maintain, improve, and secure the App.

How we use information

We use collected information to connect Shopify and eBay accounts; import and export product listings; synchronize inventory levels, product information, pricing, and orders; process fulfillment-related information; provide customer support; monitor performance and reliability; improve App functionality; and detect and prevent misuse or fraud.

We do not use merchant data for advertising purposes, and we do not use your customers' personal information for advertising or to train machine-learning models.

Data storage and retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App's functionality, maintain synchronization processes, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Data after App uninstall

When you uninstall the App, we will stop accessing your Shopify store and eBay account. Shopify sends us a shop/redact request after uninstall, and merchant data associated with the App may be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period following that request, unless retention is required for legal, security, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.

Shopify also sends customers/redact and customers/data_request webhooks on behalf of your customers; we act on these to delete customer personal information or return the data we hold, as required. If you wish to request immediate deletion of your data, please contact us using the information provided below.

Data sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer data. Information may be shared only with service providers that help operate the App, with hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, when required by law, to protect our legal rights or security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

Any third-party service providers are required to handle information appropriately and securely.

Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect merchant and customer information. These measures may include encrypted data transmission, secure authentication mechanisms, access controls, infrastructure monitoring, and security best practices.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

International data transfers

Because our infrastructure and service providers may operate in multiple countries, information may be processed or stored outside your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information remains protected and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

GDPR and privacy rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of information, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability where applicable.

Controller and processor responsibilities

As the merchant, you are the data controller: you remain responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and for maintaining appropriate privacy notices for your customers. InfoShore acts only as a data processor in connection with data processed through the App, handling it on your instructions.

Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party platforms including Shopify and eBay. Your use of these services remains subject to their respective terms, policies, and privacy practices. “eBay” is a trademark of eBay Inc.; InfoShore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by eBay Inc.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, technology, or App functionality. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
